A friend notified me of this knock off a few weeks ago... and if you need a refresher, here it goes:  over three years ago I published part of my senior thesis work on tumblr, this blog, and Facebook.  As I finished my collection I shared more and more photos, and on tumblr they were reblogged thousands of times and always without any kind of credit.  If you look at this web store or the brand that knocked me off you will immediately think of tumblr so I don't think it's a stretch to assume that this brand found photos of my own anime collage cropped tank top on tumblr and simply reproduced the print themselves.  It's interesting because it's likely they used completely different images than I did, but the effect is so similar I didn't even notice at first glance.  Below you can find links to posts on my blog, tumblr, and other sites featuring my work as far back as Spring 2012.

Boop! Here's pair number two... I'm quite nostalgic, if you can't tell. This pair is a 36 (unfortunately I'm a 38) so they are on ebay right now, though I absolutely love having them around in the meantime. Backtracking a little bit, I was really stupid and decided to dye the pair I have that fits me... and though they are black now, the beauty of the leather and suede is gone. I still love them - the silhouette is phenom, of course - but I have a very critical eye so it is frustrating having to look at an obvious dye job. I cannot tell you why I did it, I can't... it was insanity. I am going to look into restoration eventually because it's possible a professional could do something to help, but it's hard to say until I try.  I was thinking Leather Spa, but if anyone has any recommendations feel free to share.  And in the meantime, I'm always looking for another pair!

As usual, you can follow me on instagram @drippinglazers because I am MUCH too lazy to update a blog regularly.

One of my readers notified me of an etsy seller who knocked off the very heart of my senior thesis collection (the hentai print) from over two years ago.  I'm not soooo mad - this isn't a commercial knock off where someone else is profiting greatly from my idea - but it is definitely annoying, especially because they flat out denied it.  My work is all over tumblr so I'm sure this girl saw one of the uncredited images and figured no one would ever notice.  I took a look at etsy's intellectual property infringement reporting procedures and practically fell asleep reading it (legal jargon jigglypuff nonsense) so I'm probably not even going to bother with that.

You can see posts with my original work HERE, HERE, HERE, HEREHERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE dating back to February 2012 when I first shared the print on here.

& the tee is still available to buy at http://mainframe.bigcartel.com/

Finding these on ebay last week within my budget was... a complete fluke.  And just two weeks after my birthday!  They're not black, and they didn't come with the harnesses but they are perfect nonetheless, and I'm gonna love them more than I could love any other brown pair of shoes.  Only took a little over seven years to get this pair... now let's see if I can ever get a pair of the runway version.

Blogging really isn't a priority right now (obviously), but you can catch up with what I've been doing the last six months on instagram @drippinglazers if you haven't already.  It's mostly photos of nails and drag but... c'est la vie!

Apologies for the advertisement!

"Androgynous Pratt student documents his outfits that run the gamut from everyday college kid to flamboyant club kid. Anyone who throws on a pair of Balenciaga platforms or 9" fetish stilettos to cheer himself up is pretty awesome and entertaining in our opinion!"

"Dressing up is what William loves to do most. This young designer from New York doesn’t dress for fashion but just to have fun and enjoy himself like the big kid that he is. Both adorned as a man and woman, his blog isn’t your common “check-out-my-outfit” type blog. It’s a journey into NYC’s crazy nightlife with party outfits straight from the young creative/transvestite scene. Juggling Timberland homemade platforms, tie-dye t-shirts, camo baggy trousers and an orange furry jacket, his looks are absolutely bonkers-awesom, leaving us wanting more everytime. We strongly recommend that you check out his collection too . Made from Japanese anime babe-printed fabric, it’s pretty darn cool."

"I strongly believe in the comeback of Manga and will further explore its use in contemporary art and fashion. Most probably, 'sexualization' will become a core motif. In the first instance, I'd like to draw your attention to the reanimation of Anime by Dripping Lazers."
