It was pretty fucking terrifying. Uneven sidewalks, large cracks, dimpled concrete.. all potentially deadly obstacles!! These boots are perfectly comfortable on even surfaces - I usually wear them at work for six hours - but the second they hit sidewalks they're a completely different animal. I didn't trip or fall, but my legs were exhausted when I made it back and --- !!!! --- the heel on one of the boots was starting to tear off from the shoe's upper. My heart sank when I noticed. These are my babies!
Also, let me clarify my other stripper boots (see last photo) are only 1.25" shorter than the ones I wore today but are perfectly fine to walk around outside in. The giant platform on the eight inchers makes them much less friendly. People always equate platforms with comfort, but big platforms are generally very unstable.
***PS While walking to a bodega inbetween classes a six year old girl complimented my shoes. Made my day.

where did you get them??
ReplyDeleteThey're both by Pleaser. They're sold at sex shops and online.
ReplyDeleteomg!!!! i worship u!
ReplyDeletenooo, so sad that they're breaking. those are absolutely stunning, though i can see how walking on sidewalks could be quite the task.
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of it is also anxiety - my legs were super tense on the sidewalk, but at work and around campus I'm much more relaxed.
ReplyDeleteAww that sucks. But they are amazing. Maybe you can invest soon enough to another one? How much did you pay?
ReplyDeletegod those look like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteHello William, I love these boots. I've had a few too long ago.
ReplyDeleteSince I have not yet made public my inclinatione to transvestism to my roommates, I had to make it over.
Presumably will buy 'a pair soon, I now live alone.
