"S4LM4 H4Y3K 1N M0URN1NG"

I got this vintage lace dress a few weeks ago, but haven't worn it yet for two reasons.  One, I want to shave my legs before I wear it since tights ruin the effect of the lace over skin; and two, I need to tuck when I wear it, and I'll need to buy some cute black underwear for that first.  But I may wear it later this week because last night I was scouted by a casting agent for a fashion week event with a company that wants drag queens to entertain while wearing their shoes/clothing.  The third photo is what I looked like when the scout talked to me - obviously it wasn't girl drag, but I assure you, neck down I was dressed like a complete whore.  Unfortunately, I have plans to go home for the first two weeks of September so I'm not going to be in NYC during fashion week.  Regardless, the casting should be a really fun experience, and I was really flattered that after only two months of doing this someone would ask me to attend a casting.

I finally got around to buying a new corset yesterday.  I had been craving a basic black vinyl cincher for weeks, but I had to wait until I sold some shoes on ebay before getting it.  The leather corset I got at Pop Souk from Garo Sparo is 22", but I bought this vinyl one in 20".  I probably won't cinch it completely often, if ever, but I like having the option to go tighter.  The first photo was taken on my way home last night, the second photo was taken while I was deciding what to wear.  You can see how I wore this green polka dot silk blouse last summer HERE for a slightly more cisgender day look.

When I got home tonight I asked my roommate to take some photos of me because I really liked this Taylor Momsen-y look I wore.  Obviously it's not a classic drag look - I was wearing a hoodie over everything and carrying my fjallraven backpack - but I like when I can incorporate my regular style into drag looks.  The clunky sandals are by Ellie, and they've been my go to lately because they're so comfortable.

Monday and Tuesday night looks.  I watched the original Vampire Hunter D on sunday which I hadn't ever watched completely before --- Bloodlust is definitely way better, but the original is funny and campy.  So Tuesday night I shot for some dhampir glamour.  Wednesday was a cracked out margiela moment.  I wore these clear flower platforms (see them here) which are so terrible to walk in that I didn't bother putting them on until I was a block away from the bar.  I have two other pairs of platform sandals only an inch shorter that are comfortable for a full night, but being an irrational shoe lover I had to wear that pair.  The last photo was from earlier in the day when I was deciding what to wear.

Let's see...

1.  Pretty much what I wore to an interview for a job I was completely over qualified for.. did not get the job.  Okaaay.
2.  Regular day nonsense.
3.  Half washed off makeup from that night I 'bronzed'.  I'm still bronze.

I had trouble going to sleep last night because it was so hot.  In my state of delirium I may have momentarily been possessed by a fairy, externalizing the softness that enveloped me and shedding it just as quickly.

I bronzed the hell out of myself Friday night - initially it was very Ken doll faux tan, but when I highlighted it turned into something more skeletal, like a corpse that was left out to bake on a beach in Florida.  I wasn't really going for a natural look so next time I'll definitely go even darker... maybe even draw in a unibrow for a caveman look.  I decided to do this face after attempting a ganguro/manba look in which this was the base.. I took photos when I did the manba look, but I need to work on it some more before it's good enough.  Strangely enough, the models in Bernhard Willhlem's S/S 13 show had similar makeup.. just much more gaunt and pale.  I'll have to recreate that look soon!  Photos at the bottom from the Top 8 party - with Elizabeth, Logan, and Eric.

"Androgynous Pratt student documents his outfits that run the gamut from everyday college kid to flamboyant club kid. Anyone who throws on a pair of Balenciaga platforms or 9" fetish stilettos to cheer himself up is pretty awesome and entertaining in our opinion!"

TOPSHOP INSIDE-OUT BLOG
"Dressing up is what William loves to do most. This young designer from New York doesn’t dress for fashion but just to have fun and enjoy himself like the big kid that he is. Both adorned as a man and woman, his blog isn’t your common “check-out-my-outfit” type blog. It’s a journey into NYC’s crazy nightlife with party outfits straight from the young creative/transvestite scene. Juggling Timberland homemade platforms, tie-dye t-shirts, camo baggy trousers and an orange furry jacket, his looks are absolutely bonkers-awesom, leaving us wanting more everytime. We strongly recommend that you check out his collection too . Made from Japanese anime babe-printed fabric, it’s pretty darn cool."

LYNN & HORST
"I strongly believe in the comeback of Manga and will further explore its use in contemporary art and fashion. Most probably, 'sexualization' will become a core motif. In the first instance, I'd like to draw your attention to the reanimation of Anime by Dripping Lazers."
